Lincoln Day Dinner - Friday, April 24 at Forest Hills Country Club. Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita will be our Guest Speaker.
Welcome to the website of the Wayne County, Indiana Republican Party!
We are an inclusive organization with a common belief in limited
government and the preservation of individual rights and liberties.
Wayne County is comprised of 58 precincts, each with a precinct
committee chair elected in the primary elections every four years (last
elected in May 2004) or appointed by the Chairman in the event of a
vacancy. Each precinct committee chair then appoints a vice precinct
committee chair for their precinct. The executive
committee consists of Chair, Vice-chair, Secretary, and Treasurer,
elected the first Saturday in March of every 4th year
pursuant to the rules of the Indiana State Republican Committee (last
election in March 2009). The
Precincts have been divided into 7 Wards; each Ward Chair is appointed
by the County Chair and is responsible to coordinate with the precinct
committee chairs in their Ward regarding party activities. In addition,
four (4) standing committees have been established to coordinate various
party activities. These four committees are Events, Campaign, Public Relations,
and Headquarters. The
committee members and Chairs are appointed by, and serve at the
discretion of, the County Chair. The
five committee chairs and the seven Ward Chairs constitute the Advisory
Board, which advises and assists the Executive Committee. Contact
